A highlight of the Festival week-end is the showcasing of work from talented young artists aged 12 to 18. Click here for our Youth Art Exhibition Application.
Head upstairs to the mezzanine level of the hall to check out the impressive display of paintings, drawings, photographs, sculptures, textiles and jewellery. Don’t forget to encourage your favourite artist by voting for the People’s Choice Award.
The Youth Art Prize presentations are at 3.30pm on Sunday on the Main Stage of the oval.
Our Youth Engagement Program, Saturday night silent disco (in the Darlington Station Reserve), workshops, rides and spending your cash at our many stalls will fill your weekend!
Teens are invited to hang out at the Darlington Station Reserve throughout the weekend. DAFYEP! (the DAF Youth Engagement Program) engages young people aged 12 to 18 through a series of creative opportunities leading up to and during the Festival. Participants have been working alongside Nicholas Kempt to develop the Butterfly Beats digital projection on display Saturday from 6 to 9:15 pm. From 12 pm onwards, Will Kitely and Eden Lennox will also be in the DAFYEP! zone, offering workshops to teenagers across jewellery and visual arts.
Check out the Festival program for more events and information.
